6:30am 3 mile run with Hollyn.
We caught up on the weekend's activities with each of our families. They got TeePee'd, we went to Dallas, her daughter threw up in the Suburban, Nick tried to stab me with his fingernails. Good times!
We ran our 7 miles after all the kids were at school. At each mile interval we got to read a question that I'd written down on 7 pieces of paper - just to break up the run and have fun! The questions ranged from, "If you could get 50% off any single store for the rest of your life, which would you choose?" to "If you had to 'out' someone, who would it be?" HA HA. It was fun.
Total run time today: 79:47:83
Got to take a shower, pick up Cricket, run to the grocery store, do laundry, go to the Title company to close on our refinance, make lunch, un-pack, pick-up, clean the guinea pig cage, make beds, sweep, vacuum, mop, clean bathrooms, get ready for the afternoon RUSH, make up a bed for Jonny's friend who is spending 3 nights with us, make dinner, Piano Lessons...and HOMEWORK!
Maybe I'll go see a movie tonight.

wow, you are busy. i imagine the running helps. zig zigar (famous sales trainer and marathoner, also an ironman) estimated that for every minute he runs each day, he gains 3 minutes in productivity. i thought of this recently because i often feel resistant to exercising, as if it were unproductive to my life and the "challenges". i'm aiming to change my perspective and i think one way to do this is to tell myself that for every mile i run, bike or swim a week, i get that much closer to becoming a millionaire. we'll see! haha
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Zig. When I put my running FIRST - everything else seems to fall into place rather than vice versa. What's harder for me is when I have to schedule my longer runs in the middle of the day rather than first thing in the a.m...
